How to meet the challenges of a complex threat landscape

Business resilience is more important than ever before. If yours is like many organizations, you have an ever decreasing tolerance for downtime. In Data Protection-as-a-Service Trends, the Enterprise Strategy Group’s survey in 2013 of more than 300 IT and business professionals in the United States and Canada, 71 percent of organizations reported that they could only tolerate downtime of between 15 minutes and three hours. Eight percent said they could tolerate no downtime at all.

Organizations want to provide always-on access to applications and data for their partners, employees and customers. They want data and applications to be constantly available via any system of engagement—workstations, tablet computers, smartphones and other devices. There is a need to find new ways to protect, optimize, and analyze tremendous amounts of data, while continuing to protect applications and server environments. To accomplish this, organizations have either already implemented cloud computing capabilities or are consider- ing doing so. And it makes IT leaders wonder if you their organization have the skills, time and money to accomplish all this, especially relying on in-house skills alone.
