The real challenge of Shared Services Centers is to control information. The challenges are financial, but also operational. Companies have to move on from lean complexity to efficient simplicity. In other words: pool their strengths in Shared Services Centers endowed with skills and resources that meet their requirements. Obvious, but difficult to put in practice. Nevertheless, this is the only logics to control information…and reduce costs.
