Outsourcing for Small Businesses

Small businesses realized that the benefits outweigh the costs of outsourcing. Many inexperienced companies are now looking into outsourcing their bookkeeping as the U.S. tax code is 67,000 pages long so it is not that wise just to hire 1 or 2 accountants.
According to Joanna Krotz, author of Microsoft Small Business Kit, business owners should hold on to operations or areas that define the core mission of their business. Then, consider outsourcing the other operations that are not as strategic.
Small Business Computing.com highlighted in one of their articles that one of the benefits of using a human resource (HR) outsourcer as opposed to hiring someone in-house, is the depth and breadth of expertise the companies bring as instead of hiring one generalist, you get dozens of industry-specific experts. Outsourcing HR can improve productivity as it relieves small businesses of administrative headaches and helping to minimize risk. Generally, small employers typically do not have the resources to hire in-house experts on payroll tax and employment law compliance, although they are subject to most of the same laws and regulations as large employers.
For executives or managers with just a few employees, outsourcing some of their personal tasks can help free up some of their time. Analyst firm Gartner predicts that IT services will pull further ahead with demand from small business outsourcing helping to fuel the fire as businesses are investing in improvements to internal processes aimed at reducing costs. Small businesses generally have IT staffs that are busy with managing and maintaining existing systems and at the same time they typically do not have the technical expertise or in-house employees to build such software.
