You’re looking at the arrival of a new level of online HR software known as hosted, on-demand or SaaS - Software as a Service. Hosted Human Resource software systems leave behind traditional software licenses and in-house installations in favour of a subscription-based hosted approach, which delivers an application over the Internet to anyone with a web browser.

So rather than having to spend hundreds or thousands of pounds on software licenses, companies who are wise enough to choose an on-demand online HR solution are billed on a monthly basis only for the application in use and the number of employees who access the software. Now all the indications are that the same rise in hosted HR software is going to take place in the UK.
