Marianne Abib-Pech
Downstream Finance- Special Projects, Shell International Petroleum Company
Former CFO, Shell Aviation

Marianne is currently working on a change management project for the Downstream Finance VP of Royal Dutch Shell. She joined Shell 3 years ago a the CFO of their Aviation business.

Marianne started her career as an Auditor with Arthur Andersen in Luxembourg, then moved t o London to join Motorola Corporate Audit Staff function. After her audit years, Marianne joined General Electric and held several finance positions( Financial Planning and Appraisal, Commercial Finance and Balance Sheet for both the industrial side of GE and GE capital) in several European countries. She holds a degree in Accountancy, Finance and Control from Institut d’Etudes Superieures de Commerce de Strasbourg and a European Masters of Business Sciences from Herriot –Watt University in Edinburgh


Tom Bangemann
Vice President Business Transformation, The Hackett Group

Tom Bangemann (43) is Vice President Business Transformation at The Hackett Group. He has been with The Hackett Group for 8 years. He headed the European Advisory & Transformation businesses before focussing on Business Development and the Globalization practice for EMEIA. He also runs regional business development activities in central, eastern and northern Europe.

Tom has worked on numerous advisory, consulting, auditing and benchmarking engagements in almost all functions of a company, with a deep expertise focus on the World-class performance of companies, especially in the Finance function. His experience includes a set of over 60 globalization/sourcing projects (incl. shared services & outsourcing) covering all the phases of the business process sourcing journey from pre-assessment through feasibility to optimisation of existing shared service and outsourced organizations. Tom has worked in a range of industries and countries.

He also appears on conferences as a chairman (in Europe, Asia, Middle East), regular speaker and panellist and writes articles and books, e.g. on “Shared Services in Finance & Accounting” published in February 2005. Tom chaired the Hungarian Shared Service Community for three years, and advises other shared service initiatives and company boards. Tom is the external industry advisor for the NWSSF (Machester area) for 2010, and an SSON steering group member.

Tom was a regular Board member of a publicly listed software (procurement and finance) company from 2/2006- 2/2008. He was also named “HR Superstar” by HRO Magazine in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Tom received the award of Thought Leader of the Year at the SSON Shared Services & Outsourcing Week Awards ceremony in May 2010.

Tom has a Masters degree in Business & Economics from the University of Hanover (Germany) and an Honor Citation for his studies at California State University. He previously worked for Arthur Andersen in Auditing and Consulting.

Rens Blankers
SVP and GM Shared Business Services Finance, Philips

Rens Blankers (Dutch, 1957), has 25 years experience as a CFO in international companies. Having joined Philips in 1999, he was CFO for two Business Groups in Philip Lighting and was appointed Head of shared services Finance in 2008. His responsibilities include the management of both the captive Finance Shared service centers within Philips and the partnership with the external service provider (Infosys BPO), a total of over 3.000 staff.


Anton Blokland
Director Continuous Improvement, Cytec

Anton Blokland: Global Director Continuous Improvement Cytec Specialty Chemicals

Anton is based in Anderlecht, Brussels and is responsible for implementation of corporate wide “Business Process Improvement” initiatives. In 2004 he was the integration lead of the Cytec’s 1.8 billion $ acquisition of the UCB Surface Specialties business. Other major improvement initiatives include rolling out 1 ERP system for Cytec, implementing a Working Capital Improvement program in 2009 and recently the implementation of a Shared Service Center in Riga, Latvia for the transactional processes in Finance, HR, Procurement, Data Management and IT helpdesk servicing Europe, North America and Canada.

Prior to 2004, he had 14 years of experience in Finance and various Management positions within Cytec, including global Business Controller and Director Accounting & Business reporting Europe.

Anton has a Bachelor degree in Accounting and a Masters degree in Business Economy from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.



Richard Bonnar
DLA Piper

Richard is one of the UK's leading outsourcing legal advisers. His particular focus is on advising UK central and local government on the establishment and operation of public policy initiatives delivered largely by the private sector. His track record includes delivery of Transport for London's congestion charging scheme, the UK Department for Work and Pension's Modernisation Programme and the NHS National Programme for IT, the world's largest Civil IT programme.

Most recently Richard has been advising on the UK Government's largest offshoring transaction, the award of a contract for NEST pension scheme administration service to Tata Consultancy Services.

Richard is ranked as one of the top 10 outsourcing lawyers in the UK (Chambers 200 and "the Government's outsourcing lawyer", Legal 500 2009/10). His teams have successively been recognised as Legal Business IP/IT Team of the Year 2003 and Lawyer Award IP/IT Team of the Year 2004, Legal Week Awards - TMT Team of the Year 2006/07 and British Legal Awards - TMT/IP Team of the Year 2007/08 and European Outsourcing Association Advisory Team of the Year 2010.


Anna-Britta Carlsson

Transition & Governance Manager,

Anna-Britta has close to 30 years of experience within Finance and SKF, covering areas such as accounting, controlling, group consolidation, and managing finance for non manufacturing companies. For the last 14 years, she has been working with Finance projects including setting up a common Finance system, building up a shared service centre, outsourcing financial activities to a third party, and creating global common work processes for Finance. Today Anna-Britta is responsible for Finance Development and Outsourcing which in short consists of new and ongoing financial projects as well as ensuring representation in projects outside finance that have impact on it and governance of the financial outsourcing.


Adriano Cito
VP Finance EMEA at KCI and Managing Director Global Share Service Center, KCI

Adriano is EMEA Vice President Finance and General Manager Global Share Service Operations at KCI. He has 20+ years of experience in Finance, Audit, ERM, Internal Controls and Finance Transformations projects in various multinational companies. He has lead the implementation of both captives and outsourced Share Service Operations and has extensive experience in designing and implementing cross functional Transformation Projects. Adriano just relocated to Budapest, Hungary.

Bernhard Fischer
Vice President Solution Mgmt. Shared Services,

Bernhard Fischer is responsible for SAP’s solution strategy for Shared Services.  Prior to his Solution Management responsibility Bernhard owned solution strategy, solution delivery and customers support at SAP’s affiliate companies. Bernhard is with SAP since 1990 executing a variety of responsibilities including software development for the R/3 system administration suite of tools, R/3 implementations in Europe and North America, foundation of the Regional Support Centers in Walldorf, Singapore and Shanghai.  Bernhard holds a masters degree in Physics at the Technical University of Karlsruhe.

Declan Guerin

Declan Guerin has been with Cargotec since 2007. He is responsible for finance and control for the EMEA region, which is Cargotec’s largest, and is a member of the regional management board. Prior to Cargotec he has held senior finance and M&A roles with Caterpillar, Deutsche Post, DHL and EMI. Declan has extensive international experience, having worked in numerous countries in Europe and the US. 

Karsten Soderberg

Jesper Lillelund has been engaged in building valuable business networks on the international scene for over 15 years. Jesper combines his in-depth industry knowledge, unique branding, networking and market development skills with his keen sense of business, focusing on making business transformation (shared services and business process outsourcing BPO) and corporate excellence part of the business agenda.

Prior to starting CorporateLeaders, Jesper was instrumental in building a leading independent business transformation association from an informal business community to a global player. He also served as the Marketing Director at The Wall Street Journal Europe where he was responsible for managing brand, direct and on-line marketing. In his career at the Journal Europe, Jesper was also responsible for developing new revenue generating businesses. This included launching The Wall Street Journal Europe’s conference operations starting with the highly sought after European CEO Summits to the regional Central European Economic Review conferences. Prior to the Journal Europe, Jesper held market analyst roles at MAN B&W Diesel and Danisco in Denmark.

Jürgen Maul
Head of Finance and Accounting Services, Bayer Business Services

Jürgen Maul is one of the finance experts within the Bayer Group. Since 2005 he is responsible for the business unit Finance & Accounting Services of the Bayer Business Service GmbH.

In his current role Jürgen Maul combines expertise for IT concerning group consolidation, group tools and SAP systems with his almost 30 years experience of Finance & Accounting. His global team enfolds around 250 employees mainly located in Germany, but also in North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific. Jürgen is also in charge of the global Accounting Center EuroServices Leverkusen and EuroServices Barcelona, which are the competence centers for accounting and reporting services.

Jürgen in former position took over responsibilities as head of Finance & Accounting for Bayer Venezuela and Bayer Argentina. The economist was also head of Accounting subsidiaries and head of Group Reporting for the Bayer Group.

In his time off he likes to spend time with his family and to go hiking.


Kolbjørn Midttun

Kolbjorn (Norwegian, 1961), has for the last 20 years been working as an advisor and consultant within different sectors; energy / renewable energy, logistics and financing consulting: He has also held several executive positions. In the energy sector for Norwegian Oil Trading and Pemco in the FSU area and now within the Financial Services sector.

He has been leading start-up businesses into mature organizations, delivering excellent results in Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Belarus, Sweden and Russia.  Leading sizable multi-cultural and –disciplinary projects with excellent results. Budgeting, planning and execution in a variety of businesses from construction to oil production. Financial and operational due diligence, acquisition advice, Corporate fund (equity/debt) rising. Due diligence of Investment projects; refineries, oil terminals, oil-fields, logistics (road/rail/sea), real estate, manufacturing. Strategy and business planning and implementation. Corporate reconstruction; responsible for planning and execution. Managing organizations facing the challenges of the transition economies of Eastern Europe/FSU. Now specializing in optimization of financial services and transition management.

Kolbjorn has a Masters degree from Norwegian Institute of Technology and has also studied at Norwegian School of Management.  He has also served at several executive boards.

Graham Russell
Head of Global Transactional Finance, AstraZeneca
Graham joined Astra Zeneca PLC in September 2007 in the then, newly created position as Head of Global Transaction Processing, based in Wilmington, Delaware. This role was created as a consequence of the G&A initiative of the Fast Forward transformation programme, with the goal of consolidating all transactional processes globally to gain organizational efficiencies and process improvements.

Graham joined Astra Zeneca following 6 years at Orange Business Services (a subsidiary of France Telecom, formerly known as Equant) where initially as VP of Finance Systems & Processes, he led the Business Transformation of the Finance Function. Subsequently he became VP of Finance and led the Global Finance Shared Services organization, which supported 200+ countries and territories, eventually entering a Business Process Outsourcing arrangement, which transferred much of the function to India and Poland.

Prior to joining Equant, Graham spent 18 years with NCR Corporation (and AT&T Corporation when NCR was acquired) in positions of increasing responsibility including CFO for Latin America, CFO and Head of Business Operations for Customer Services Europe Middle East Africa and Area Managing Director, Southern Europe. Graham joined NCR from KPMG where he had been Manager of the Financial Consulting Practice following an early career in audit.

Graham originally from Scotland, is a graduate of the University of Aberdeen and a Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. As a consequence of his international business experience, Graham has lived in five countries, traveled through more than 60 and has had management responsibility for all geographies in the world. Graham, who lives in Reston Virginia, is married with three children.


Glen Schmidt
VP BPO Finance DHL Freight

Glen is currently VP BPO Finance DHL Freight, where he is responsible for bringing about the standardization of the finance landscape as well as consolidating further on shared service activity in order to reduce the cost of Finance across the 30 countries. Previously glen was Head of finance operations EEMEA for DHL where he successfully implemented Accounting and Billing standardization across 89 countries as well as set up two shared service centers focusing on Billing and accounting. Glen is married with two sons and in his spare time he likes, football with his sons, Skiing, hiking, cycling and spending time with his family.

Patrick Speek
Finance Director/CFO EMEA, A. Schulman, Inc.

Patrick is a senior financial executive with extensive financial experience in a variety of disciplines including international tax and compliance issues, team management, controlling, forecasting and budgeting.

Patrick is currently the EMEA CFO at A. Schulman Inc, a listed US Plastics business. His previous positions include Vice President of Finance International for JLG Industries, a division of Oshkosh Corporation, Chief Financial Officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for Fluke, a division of Danaher Corporation and EMEA Controller for General Electric Corporate, responsible for all divisions across EMEA. He also was a tax auditor for the Dutch Tax Authorities.
He is a Dutch Chartered Accountant (RA) and has a degree as Dutch Tax Auditor and is a Six Sigma Black Belt.


Sam Strijckmans
Director - Board Member, CFO, Nitto Europe

Sam Strijckmans is since the beginning of 2004 Chief Financial Officer of Nitto Europe NV, the EMEA headquarters of the Japanese Tokyo-listed multinational Nitto Denko Corporation. In 2006 he was appointed to the Board of Directors.

In his role he has direct responsibility for Finance, Treasury, Tax, Risk Management, Human Resources Management, Internal Audit & Legal Affairs. Prior to this role he spent seven years with Solutia Inc., the chemical spin off of Monsanto Corporation, where he held various finance assignments of increasing responsibility in Belgium, Canada and Switzerland. In Switzerland, as Finance Director of the Pharmaceutical business, he gained experience in
mergers & acquisitions.  His first professional assignment was in audit with KPMG Belgium.

Sam Strijckmans holds a Masters degree in Commercial & Consular Sciences and a Masters degree in Commercial & Financial Sciences, both from the Graduate School of Business in Brussels (HUB), Belgium. He also holds a Master in Business Administration from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Rochester – New York, USA.


Cathy Tornbohm
Vice President Research, Gartner

Cathy Tornbohm has 11 years of experience with Gartner and 17 years in the IT industry. Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Tornbohm has spent 6 years as market research manager at BT, where she provided strategic market and competitive analysis for the systems integration division, BT Syntegra, as well as 1 year as market research manager at Cable & Wireless, where she specialized in the transportation sector.
