Genpact bags 5-year contract from European biscuit maker

New Delhi, Aug 5 BPO firm Genpact today said it has bagged a five-year contract from European biscuit and cake manufacturer United Biscuits (UB) to provide multiple finance and accounting (F&A) services to the firm.
As per the agreement, Genpact would provide support in various areas such as accounts payable, expense claims processing, fixed assets accounting, general accounting, procurement, accounts receivable, supply chain accounting, commercial decision support, financial planning and analysis and tax and treasury activities, the company said in a statement.
However, the company did not reveal financial details. UB Chief Operating Officer Jeff van der Eems said,"Our partnership with Genpact is the latest step in our ongoing efforts to ensure our finance capabilities are fit for the future."
Genpact?s finance and accounting practice currently supports more than three dozen global enterprises, including a dozen of brands in the consumer packaged goods industry.
Genpact President and CEO Pramod Bhasin said,"We are hopeful this will be a long and productive partnership.
