CIO Vision: Future Technologies for Business Growth

CIO Roundtable Meeting

19th June, 2014
Bistro Margaux, Sint-Martens-Bodegem, Belgium
16:30 - 21:30

We are in the midst of a technology wave characterized by the confluence of social, mobile and cloud technologies, the rise of Big Data and new kinds of analytics needed to create value in this environment. What are the most significant, disruptive technology trends leading to industry-changing products and services over the next three-to ten-year period? How should organisations embrace them to drive their businesses forward? To better understand the technology outlook, the challenges facing organisations in the future, and how companies can un-lock their potential, CorporateLeaders in partnership with IBM are hosting the CIO Vision Roundtable Meeting on “Future Technologies for Business Growth”.

The meeting is keynoted by Jean Vanderdonckt, Professor in Information Systems at Louvain School of Management, President of Louvain School of Management Research Institute and Head of Louvain Interaction Laboratory in the domain of human-computer interaction, and Rashik Parmar, President of IBM's Academy of Technology and IBM Distinguished Engineer, Geert Van Grootel, Senior Researcher and FRIS Information Architect, Economy, Science & Innovation Department, Flemish Government, and Steve Van Beirs, Chief Operating Officer at European Datacomm. Attendees will have the chance to share, discuss and debate the key technology trends that will be driving business growth in the future - from an academic point of view, an innovators point of view and in business practice. In addition, the presentations and debate will address how the role of the CIO is transforming to drive business growth and results by no longer focusing on infrastructure but on monetizing data and systems of engagement to capture growth opportunities.

This exclusive roundtable meeting takes place on 19th June, 2014 from 16:30 to 21:30 at the Michelin starred Bistro Margaux in Sint-Martens-Bodegem (outskirts of Brussels). The meeting will bring together 20 CIOs and IT leaders to share and gain insights into the “mega technology trends” impacting organisations, how organisations can take advantage of them to drive their businesses forward, and how the CIO’s role is evolving to take on these trends. The meeting is rounded off with a champagne reception and an exquisite meal to continue the debate and networking.
